Redefining Narratives: Child's Play

Video Games have been under scrutiny for promoting gender based violence and inequality within the global community. Join us this month as one of our inspiring Girls2Pioneers ambassadors, Emiko Iwasaki, shares a behind the scenes perspective of women in gaming. Come find out more about encouraging female voices within the gaming industry to effectively combat gender stereotypes.

Emiko Iwasaki is a Japanese video game artist from Yokohama employed by Arc System Works since 1999, and is known for her work with the company's Guilty Gear series. She has served as director for the fighting game Battle Fantasia, released in arcades in March 2007, and is one of the few women in the Japanese game industry to hold such a position. Iwasake has also designed the characters and storyline for Brazier Thousands.
